Banking App's

Search for onTrees in the App Store. I tried it and it was basically exactly what you describe - one app which can display balances and transactions for a huge variety of accounts, including some pretty obscure ones.
The only catch is you have to give it all of the security details you use to log in. They say it's got "bank level" security but they don't say what that actually means. I deleted in my account in the end because I'm not entirely convinced it's safe.
It's only logical that, if you want an app to log into accounts in different places, it needs the details to login!
So a definite level of trust is needed. I would also not trust it.0 -
I like the RBS app. It's nice and easy to use, and I like the fact that when I'm out and about I can quickly log in and check my balance without having to find a cash machine. I gave up on the Barclays one and deleted it though - I really don't like it.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

you might want to try the Barclays one again as i think it has been updated in the last month of so to a new system. now you set your login details up then every time you want to login it just asks for a 5 number code and you can see it all its the fastest one to login that i have. but the system for paying people is a bit longer than my others.Age: 24 / London/Ireland / Salary €49,000 / 1 London BTL (8% yield) / Total savings pot £12k+

Thanks, looks good!
It's a read-only app so at least if your phone is stolen, they can't get at all your money through the app.
My main concern would be whether the fact that I've given my login details to a non official app would be in breach of the T&C'S and have any effect on fraud claims! Ill have to look into it.What will your verse be?

I think this thread highlights why it is paramount that people enable a screen lock on their phone. Also that the codes used for the screen lock, and the various banking apps are different.
I'd agree the apps are great, and use them most days to keep an eye on my finances.0 -

I would never give out my banking details like this as it must brake the T&Cs of your bank account. If someone cleans out your bank account you would not have a leg to stand on i would think.
Its a good ides but at the end of the day the i can't see it working unless the banks all come together and design one? (never going to happen) or a big company with a good rep comes in and gets all the banks on side (prob never happen unless it was the gov.)
The time it takes to login to the different banking apps is less than 10sec so i don't think its that bad.Age: 24 / London/Ireland / Salary €49,000 / 1 London BTL (8% yield) / Total savings pot £12k+
