    Anyone know about windows 8?
I am a technophob as you know.
Have a new laptop & have managed to muck up the settings already.
I have 'lost ' the headers and footers.
I find the swiping movement hard.
    I am going loopy :rotfl:

When I had to replace my windows 7 laptop my son wiped everything off the new one and put windows 98 on it. It does everything I want to do and saves so much on resources. We don't need all the 'improvements' they keep forcing on us, they just confuse and complicate our lives. Sorry, it just annoys me that they only do this to make people pay more for stuff they will probably never use.

Yesterday and today are NSDs 7 & 8.

I am still at number 4, despite today being a spendfree day because Sunday turned out not to be one. Oh well, all d / ds for the month paid, I have cupboards and fridge / freezer full of food so may be I can get an in-a-row going this week.

I've overspent this month. I am £15 short of my whole July spending and I've still got over two weeks to go.:mad::eek::mad:

    Errrr....whoops :o

NSD #5 here today (plodding this month). In fact the only journey i mad out at lunchtime was to bank a nice rebate from HMRC which arrived on my mat this morning before work - not a kings ransom but for the past 18mths or so all I've had from them is letters saying I owe money but not to worry, they'll take it off my next years salary (geeee thanks), then got one this week adjusting up my allowance, and then cheque today. So banked it swiftly before they can cancel it :rotfl:

Would very much like to spend it on a new bag I've seen but will be :A and not squander it.

Just sorted out OH car ins too - £20 less than renewal quote and under 200-quid (just) so not bad. Was supposed to have cashback on it though and not sure its tracked as I had to amend some of the details that the search engine had put in incorrectly

Boot camp this morning so home early from work to cook a cupboard / freezer dinner - but very nice all the same.

Now watching the footie with OH - white line drawn down the living room :rotfl:

Right, packed lunch & fruit ready to take to work tomorrow, so I should have no excuses not to claim my next NSD !!

It's my first month doing this, and while I'm struggling to manage whole days not spending, its really making me think about how much I'm spending, and trying to pick the lowest cost option when i do, so buying a 90p tea instead of a £1.85 coffee for example.

    Love it!!

  • NSD #5 today.

Met a friend for a drink but as I had to change the little mans smelly bottom she went to the bar and paid. :D

I def need to pay next time as she has paid for the last two drinks.

I feel a spend day coming on tomorrow though.
