you need to withdraw your consent thenCan the WP find out where you got a job if you dont tell the Jobcentre? I signed the consent form, it became very unpleasant when I said I didn't want to sign it so in the end I signed it.
Can they find out through your NI?We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
You might as well do this course and then sign off when you start your job, and it's the WP's problem not yours. Your main issue now is them bugging you for info about your new job. I signed off in January 2012 and I am still having issues with them. I didn't sign a consent form, but they bombarded me with calls, texts and emails asking me where I was working, and they kept trying to set up meetings with me saying my benefits (which I was no longer on) would be sanctioned. So I ignored it all and they found out my mother's home phone number and started ringing her at 7.30am every day telling her I would be in trouble if she didn't tell them where I was working. My local MP was involved, the calls still kept coming. I have since got another phone and she has stopped answering her phone. So in your case I am more worried that you're going to get bombarded with calls from them if they think you are in work. I would suggest writing to them recorded delivery withdrawing your consent, signing off when you start your job and do not write anywhere that you are going to employment. Otherwise they will get thousands for getting you into work, and will bombard your new company with calls asking if you are still working there.0
