Yeah, I agree that ME3 wasn't a bad game, although it should have been better than it was. I think EA's demands were partly responsible, but I also think that changes in the writing team and the lack of input that the majority of the writing team had on the ending is partly responsible as well. There's a lot of cut content and disregarded story themes that could have made the game better, but at this point, it is what it is.
Indoctrination Theory was always too hopeful to be true, but I think I might have preferred that.
I can't help but feel that EA's embarrassment over Bioware's "WoW-killing" $200m mess of an MMO that failed to dent WoW may have contributed to their extra pushiness when it came to ME3.
I picked destroy the first time around, then I installed the MEHEM
I also play femshep, incidentally, for much the same reason. I'm not criticising Mark Meer but between Meer and Jennifer Hale, I prefer Hale's voice. Granted, it makes everything rather limited as far as LI options go but it is just better for me.
Whether she lives or not, well, the game files say that but some Bioware guy made a comment about it being Shepard's last breath. Who knows? I think it's a rather cheap storytelling device to leave it up to our own judgement, but so be it. Shepard clearly lives in MEHEM!0 -
Correct. GTAV in September is the big one- and the Xbox and PS4 are RUMOURED to be released six weeks later. A fatal mistake. If they had just waited and done it as One/PS4 release only I think many more people would flock to buy the new consoles as well.
I don't think it is a fatal mistake. It isn't up to Rockstar to sell next-gen consoles for Microsoft and Sony. It is up to Rockstar to sell as many copies of the game they've been developing as possible.
The 360 and PS3 has a larger potential market right now than the Xbox One and PS4 is likely to have a year from now as the current-gen consoles are at their peak in terms of user numbers, whereas the next gen consoles will still be building their user numbers for a few years and it will likely take some time for them to overtake the current gen.
From a business point of view, Rockstar's decision is the correct, sensible one. A comparatively small number of people would buy a brand new console just to play GTAV, certainly not enough to make up for the lost sales from those who will be sticking with their current gen consoles for the time being.0 -

I played the series on Xbox so no mods for me, I've seen that mod on YouTube though it was quite well done. I love mods, Skyrim (which I have on all platforms) has some fantastic mods. I used to make a few myself years ago, even made a ME Sim for sims 2 which is up on a popular mod site, as an art and design student I was familiar with the software. My OH games online sometimes and uses a few mods, but mainly Star Wars games.
I have quite a few ME books (official guide, collectors edition art book and other official art books) that state the child was supposed to be a representation of Shepard's inner turmoil at all the people they couldn't save. And that Shepard did indeed live etc. I am a bit of a gamer geek (even though I got into it late (at age 18) thanks to an ex, I had to play catch up on many older games) and I loved the ME series so collected a lot of memorabilia, a wall length poster, books, a model of the Normandy, limited framed pictures, comics, spin off games, all the figures etc. I follow the lore as written, so I just assumed she lives for that reason. Playing femshep was easy for me LI wise because as a girl myself I naturally melted over Thane, and Garrus because he's awesome
. I think male shep would be ok for a renegade play through, his angry voice is funny IMO
, but since I always play paragon I preferred femshep.
PS, did you see the shoot the kid ending? Funnyhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JX_BYT_C6YQ

Elder Scrolls Online! There are no words to express how excited I am for this game...
Shame no Beta key but hey ho! :P0 -
Portal 3 - I can dream!
I'm awful at the games, but I love the humour in them - have had Still Alive as my phone ringtone for absolutely ages now.
My husband almost managed to get one of their work computer pieces of software named Glados - but they couldn't quite wangle a name that would make that acronym.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
I'm waiting for Sir, You Are Being Hunted is out on 19th Aug (Alpha version).
It's a procedurally generated island where you are hunted by Gentleman robots while trying to find items to effect your escape from the island. Looks great!:D

That game does look interesting in a bizarre way. I think I might have to pick it up at some point
