It was a shame that the choices were basically the same, it ruined an otherwise amazing game. Unfortunately people tend to focus on that fact and forget its merits, I think because there was such a hype made about your choices throughout mattering and people expected more than was possible, plus the endings didn't make a whole lot of sense before the extended cut. The citadel DLC went a long way to fixing the mistake though .
