Any standing water on a wooden worktop needs to be mopped up straight away. They need oiling every 2-4 months, that is just the nature of them. You don't have a defective one you just haven't kept up with the maintenance it needs.0

Thanks, I didn't realise it needed to be done so frequently. The tin seemed to say it would last for years. Problem solved, I'll just give it another coat every couple of months.0 -
