Good luck Makeachange, at least your trying to do this whilst your debt is relatively small, I wish I had been as aware in my 20's.Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Thank you, I just hope I can do it. I am going into my final year at uni and would love my graduation next year to be the day I am either debt free... or almost debt free.
I wish I had something to show for my debt, but unfortuantly I frittered most of it away and nothing to show for it! My plan is to be able to treat myself this time next year!. It wont be easy but I am sure it will be worth it

I'm sat in bed thinking about this diary so I figured it's not a bad time to post again. I'm excited for pay-day because it'll be my first month I'll be actively working harder to pay off my debt. I'm nervous about going back to uni in a few weeks. Basically alot is keeping me awake!
I'm trying to think of all the ways to clear the overdraft by christmas. I am going to need to find between £350-£400. Anyone ideas?
I'll be back if i think of anything to say!

Just popping in to remind myself of why I am doing this. Had a terrible night sleep kept thinking about this debt busting and how I have to do this. Anyway, cc bills are due around this time so I should be able to come back with exact figures soon! :-)I WILL GET THERE.0

We always find this a very stressful time as its the end of the month and scrabbling to pay everything.
In theory we have a budget but as dh is self employed its not always easy to put an exact amount in the bank every week.
Try writing a list before you go to sleep that way things are not running through your mind. It works for me:DStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Thats a good idea. I will certainly dig out a notepad for by my bed
Having a good day so far, just had a driving lesson. Test in a few weeks time, bit nervous now as it approaches but as each lesson builds my confidence I do feel better about it.
Off out not, but when home an evening of surveys and uni work awaits. I love my life! :rotfl: Every little helps though!

Home from my afternoon out and checking my survey emails. I can't wait until pay-day on friday. I look forward to sitting down and paying off some of my debts. I am guessing this is addictive.
That said, first £1 off the overdraft today. £499 to go!I WILL GET THERE.0
