Hey, am I right in thinking that it isn't disconnection with a network until you activate the PAC you receive?

Basically O2 will NOT NOT NOT NOT budge on their tariffs for me despite my best haggling/battering/play-of-against-other-networks attempts... they just seem to be completely rigid in their thinking and not give a crap.

Won't give me my current tariff (discount 500 with 500 mins/100 texts) for the same price Im getting now (£28)... instead they've offered it @ £35?!

Best deals they've offered are 18 months with long weekends like this:

600 Mins/500 TEXTS £35/MONTH WITH N95 for £89
750 Mins/100 TEXTS £35/MONTH WITH N95 for £89

Got sick of trying to change their mind and got told to be put through to retentions who said they'd send PAC code withni 48 hours!! Not going to plan at all!!

Got my PAC and then I tried for a month to get a good deal, nothing doing.

o2 through E2save/Cpwh could not guarantee they would not lose my number if I ported!!!
Eventually went over to 3 on their new deal, so far so good, good CS, I emailed a question and an hour later someone phoned me to help out, I can imagine o2 doing that, ha ha.

yip I gave a mate my old 3 contract as he could not get credit a few years back, he now can and as a result I called retentions and upgrade to a Nokia 6288 18months 750 mins 150 txts - £15 with 200 text bolt on @ £10 plus unlimited web surfing @ £5 = £30

!!!!!! all over my o2 discount 750 with 400 txts for £20 a month, given its £3 per MB, & im losing my £15 discount on 22/7

Telefonica are killing the o2 brand since they bought it - jump ship all, unless retentions really do pull thier finger out thier !!!! ! Yes you'll soon get discounted broadband but it'll never be as good as Orange bb deals

yes ive gone back to 3 - thought they were bad customer care but o2 customer care shouldnt even be called that ! at least india correct thier billing issues

I will be gone in a couple of weeks too. Last years upgrade got us new E900phone sold for £240 and the 12 month £25 contract (50 minutes and 100 texts) down to £10 per month with an extra 200 texts added free. Have two contracts on this plan.

Last couple of weeks ive phoned 2 or 3 times and they are just not budging. They want £25 for 100 minutes and 100 texts. The N95 i would have liked ive been quoted as high as £300 and one time got told £89. this person said to ring the following week as now the handsets have been out a little while he expected the price to drop further than £89, but they didnt.

So i expect to be off to 3 in a couple of weeks or so once ive got a deal i like. The deals they have at the moment are just so hard to beat plus theres quidco money back. Their customer service is great too. I like how you can go on their site and chat live to someone for help/questions etc. o2 customer service for me has been bloody c**p. 2 identical contracts taken out the same time, same name etc. For the last 12 months ive been getting overcharged on 1 account everytime my bill comes in because they havent been able to add the 200 free of charge texts on that account. I ring every month and they say they will sort it but do they hell. So next month i am due a £92 credit. Am i likely to be able to ask for that in a cheque?

they wouldn't give me anything either after being with them for 6 years or so, now moved to t-mobile to get flext + web'n'walk and a free Nokia n95. O2 really don't seem to be interested in keeping us!

o2 are going high volume business customer only I guess.......thier welcome to the idiots that spend loads cos the companies paying.........they'll soon discover like Orange has done for the last 8 months you then have to give unbelieable deals to get customers back on your brand - consumerism is great, we !!!! on them as much as they do us :)

  • o2 definately have changed their focus to high revenue sme and corporate business customers at the expense of lower revenue consumers. Not many independent moble dealers are selling o2 anymore, as their consumer connection commissions are so poor.

Their business tariffs are much stronger, and the smarter online dealers are selling these to consumers instead of the normal consumer tariffs so there are still some good deals to be had on o2 if you look around.

high revenue = poor cashback though, so for all the MSExperts on here its a miss, a network should never forget its bread & butter....thats why 3 are holding on with discounts for life, o2 will go full circle like Orange - but how they gonna beat O now never mind later.... ? or T-mob ? them 2 seem to be winning the masses for now, Voda is hanging in there though as are 3 for new connections

o2 have lost the plot - 3 years after thier billing system did, better never than late - oh o2 you will learn the hard Orange way
