  • Hi Guys.

I can see that the cost of car repair is close to every ones hearts and I for understand the pain involved. Im actually the co-founder of a tech start up called clickmechanic dot com. We run a network of freelance mobile mechanics which means we are cheaper than the garage as they don't have the same over heads.

Id love to get any feedback and thoughts.

Would you use a mobile mechanic to undertake your car repairs and maintenance?

Feel free to reply here or drop me a line personally andrew@clickmechanic.com

    Many thanks

    Andrew

Fords have quoted £120 to replace spark plugs, I know this is a rip off because spark plugs are about £10 plus half hour labour (so under £50)

All depends on the car, some are a pain in the **** to change and also depends how many plugs and the quality used.

My car takes £100 worth of platinum spark plugs, and they're under the inlet manifold which has to come off. £120 would be a bargain.

Incidentally, Geabox service on a Pajero: $260.

I am so glad that for once there is a comprehensive index of servicing prices on the internet. ;)
