Auto-Europe.. Zero Excess..

All - just a quick word of warning on Auto Europe, whilst their customer service, in my experience, is very good and reliable, on a recent booking i was drawn to their "Zero Excess" offer. I made the booking over the phone and I brought up the excess and she said it was zero and we left it at that. Having paid, i received the voucher, which said:
"Rental includes Collision Damage coverage and Theft Protection fro the vehicle. Rental limits potential vehicle damage or loss liability to an exess of approximately EUR0.00
(so far so good.. then...)
Collision Damage coverage does not include damage to tyres, wheels, glass, locks, battery, motor, undercarriage and interior of the car. As some damages & negligence are not covered by the zero excess, a deposit between EUR300-EUR900 will be blocked on the primary drivers credit card. To waive this deposit, clients can purchase additional insurance locally."
No what part of that is ZERO excess!! It's a €300 excess! I rang them and they said, "oh well there's zero excess on part of the vehicle. you have an excess on the rest" I replied that's like getting free tickets to a sports event and then having to leave at half time!!
I dont know if this is standard practice, but to me it's pretty poor form.... They claim to be offereing zero excess all over their website, and whilst it might be buried in their T&Cs it's not Zero excess on any way in my view.
thoughts?

Based on my own experience, it is nothing unusual.0
