What I mean is, when the speedo plays up, if you brake REALLY hard do the tyres skid or does the brake pedal vibrate as the ABS kicks in?“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Did he take the fuse out and clean it ? or assume it was ok ?
It really is a weak point on these, it may look fine, but the whole power for the spedo comes down that fuse and at 12v you dont need a great deal of resistance to start problems, if any doubt pull the fuse, clean the holder and fit a new one.
Until this is eliminated you are working on assumption and that is expensive. .Be happy...;)0 -
