Need help finding a triband phone
Hi
I'm currently trying to get a cheap triband phone to use in Colombia. From looking on Ebay, I reckon the best route is to find a model that is both triband and easily unlockable as it's a lot easier to search for a specific model and if people don't list the features it often goes for less. I'm currently volunteering with a charity working with street children so don't really have much cash to spend. Can anyone recommend a good model to try?
Thanks

If you go the the link https://www.thelink.com and click on pay as you go you can search for triband models.
That might give you a starting point0 -
Some of the networks in Colombia use a 4th frequency (850mhz), so it may be wise to invest in a quad band phone rather than tri band.
The cheapest quadband phones are generally Motorola phones. The V3 flip phone is probably your best bet, Carphonewarehouse are doing them for £40 on Vodafone PAYG on their website, in the payg clearance section.
Again, I dont know if that is within your budget, but if you go via Quidco you should get another £5 back.
Good luck in Colombia :AThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
