hi,
please advise
im dreading filling out my renewal form as difference in income...
i know deadline in 2 days... had a few family problems to deal with
here goes :
joint income was £26022.00 for 2012/13
actual income is £30193.80 for 2012/13
2 children with no childcare....
was wondering how much roughly my overpayment would be ???
please advise as so worried ....

difference in income is due to husband being promoted at work & overtime worked by both of us0

What was your actual joint 11/12 income? That will determine how much the overpayment is.

Ok, so your 12/13 award will not be overpaid because of the 10,000 disregard. You can earn up to 10,000 more than your 11/12 income before it affects 12/13 tax credits.
However your 13/14 award (i.e. your tax credits now) is probably being paid on the basis of 26,022 because that is the latest income HMRC have. It should be being paid on £30193. So you may have been overpaid from April - they will alter your payments going forward so it is right by the end of the year which may mean you see a fall in payments.
