you can force an OTA update if you really want it:
Swipe down and select "settings"
Select "Apps"
then swipe over to "all"
Look for the "Google Services Framework"
Select it.
Then tap "Clear Cache", "Clear Data" and "Force Close",
Swipe down and turn on "Airplane Mode",
Wait for a few moments then Turn off "Airplane Mode"
Now go to "Settings"
Select "About Tablet"
Then press "Check for Updates".
You might have to do this once or twice.
Works on my Nexus 4
Currently flashing stock back on to my Nexus 7 to get the update for that but the above should work for that as well!Laters

My Nexus 7 updated last night. Still waiting for Nexus 4 to update.
I sometimes find switching off fully and then turning it back on invokes an update, but it does seem quite random.
My wife's Nexus 7 still hasn't updated.0 -
My Nexus 4 update came in last night.0

Got mine too.
RE: lagging Nexus 7 - this is common on the Android filing system. 4.3 has brought in TRIM which is something that helps with shuffling files around in flash memory to keep things efficient. Might be worth reassessing your Nexus 7 after about a week of running 4.3. There's an article about it on engadget.com0 -
Update was waiting for me when I got home last night for my nexus 7. I think I have broken it now though as the screen has gone all fuzzy and all that happened was the usb got yanked out of its port quite hard by accident. Grrr. will have a look later once Ive calmed down a bit at my stupidityone of the famous 50

If you're lucky all you need to do is hold the power button down for 10 seconds till it shuts down then connect the charger for a few hours.
Boot in to "Fastboot" hold "Volume Down" then press and hold the power button till you get the fastboot menu.
If that works then select reboot and see if the Nexus boots normally! if not then you might have to go into recovery and reset the nexus!Laters

Boring, isn't it? No eye candy at all.
It seems to have made some my apps unstable too.0 -
The being able to set restrictions on user accounts seems to be a good idea for shared tablets.
Should stop the 'my child ran up a £1000 bill for in-app purchases'0 -

My Galaxy Nexus automatically updated the night before last. Took about 10/15 mins and we were all 100%!0
