Break down on Sunday - no garages open

Hello,

My car has broken down outside my house but I have auto aid cover.

I don't think they will be able to fix it at roadside, I think it is the starter motor or alternator. I've checked battery and it has a full charge.

I've been looking for somewhere for them to tow it to but all my local garages are closed on Sunday? Will they be able to do anything or should I wait until tomorrow? (I can't lock the car overnight as the electronics seem to be out).

Thank you

Tried that, only locks the door with the lock on it. Central locking must rely on the electronics working?

It read a healthy 12.5 volts.

I've been googling and reading guides online trying to sort it out. I've read that it could be ignition coil, starter motor, alternator, fuel pump, injectors, plugs.

Although from what i've read I suspect the alternator.

Just wondered if it was best to leave it outside unlocked until tomorrow as i don't live in the best of areas. Or if auto aid would have another solution.

Can't you lock each door individually, either with key or pushing the bolt down?

Surely the electrics will still work if the battery has a full charge.

Only garage open on Sundays round here are Kwik Fit. That is if you call them a garage. :o

If it has a pop up button hold the button down as you shut the door.

should be enough to start it, but engine not turning over, and lack of central locking are both pointers to battery or wider electrical fault.

Trust me, I can't lock the doors, they are handles with no push nob or anything. The car has an electronic lock button inside which locks as you drive off just like a black cab.

I can only lock the main door that has a key lock on it.
