Afternoon everyone,
Hester Welcome back, sorry that you have been so poorly.
Molly, LW, Julie, Hilstep Hugs.
Tru I can't think about Christmas in this lovely weather!
Still warm and humid here, everyone expecting lots of rain later but hopefully not as much as tuesday as there was loads of flooding around here.
Went to see mum and dad yesterday with the children and returned home with a boot full of vegetables so I have been busy preparing them for the freezer (the vegetables not the children!)
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.:)0 -
Hello everyone, yet again I've been reading every day but not posting!
Not a lot done today - too hot! We are due to get our storm around 3am - lovely!
A new Aldi has opened just up the road from us so we went to have a look today - it's bigger than I thought it was going to be and we got a few bits. I mainly drink flavoured sparkling water, so I've got all 4 of their flavours to try! I also bought a whole small chicken for £2.99 which is good. I'm going to roast that tomorrow and then dissect it so I can chuck a handful of chicken in with some pasta and pesto for my work lunches.
We bought a birch kitchen trolley last week from Ikea so that now houses my slow cooker, the panini press and hopefully some of our cake tins and bits and bobs. It looks very nice! Doesn't fit my breadmaker unfortunately, so that will have to stay living in the cupboard!
Took a couple of chicken breasts out of the freezer because we are having chicken done in the George Forman with bacon and cheese on top for tea. Yummy! Need to go to Costco after payday because their packs of chicken breasts are on £3 off!the only debt left now is on credit cards! The evil loan has gone!! :j:j0 -

Hester, hope you are soon feeling better.
Am currently waiting on NHS 24 to phone me back as I have a blistered rash on one side of my chest to go with the swollen blistered eye lid and the throbbing face....shingles maybe?????Never a dull moment here!RIP Iain

Hope it's not shingles Jools, that is most unpleasant.
Hester glad you are back with us. Look after yourself and get well soon.
I was most surprised to see the forum up and running again - I was expecting it to be down all weekend.
Strange sort of day here. We were supposed to have rain, but it hasn't arrived just yet, although it is dull at the moment. I managed to get my washing dry outside, so I'm pleased. I'm just about to get the ironing done.
Enjoy your evening.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Hi all
Just noticed the forum is back! And H Hester! Sorry to hear you have been in hospital. Sending you get better soon vibes and hugs. Tell the Minder to look after you.
Jools 27 hope it's not shingles. Take care.
It's been pouring here but DD and I got home from town just in time to rescue the washing. We had a lovely time shopping-I do miss mother and daughter retail therapy. She did really well in spite of jetlag. I on the other hand woke at 4am and didn't get back off again. S*ds law the rain has come the day after she arrived! She does welcome the lack of humidity though as Tokyo is very sticky this time of year.
Well OH is arriving shortly with a takeaway curry as DD finds it hard to get one in Tokyo that isn't Japanised and has been craving a nice curry. We have all ordered different things so will share and taste.
Well hugs and kind words for all who need them. G&T anyone? Mines poured.............
Have a good evening all.

Good afternoon all,
Hester, so pleased to see you posting again. Sorry to hear that you have been feeling poorly. Hope you get well soon x.
Jools, fingers crossed that it isn't shingles. It's not very nice at all x.
I too have been in hospital, been out for a few days now.
Been a very hot day here, i thought we were due a bit of rain but nothing as yet. Got all of the washing dry, just got to iron it now. Got all of the rest of the ironing done and put away. Hoovered and polished throughout.
Both dd's are at work. I will have tea when hubby gets home from work. Chicken in breadcrumbs with a few chips and salad.
I hope everyone has a good rest of the day and hugs to those who need them.

Very pleased to see you back Hester. Hope that whatever the problem was has been sorted and that that you will soon be back on form. I certainly hope that the evil workplace really appreciated all that you do when you were not there to do it!!
I have shingles, too. This is the third time in as many months. Apparently I am one of the 'lucky' 4% who get it frequently.
'Tis raining here - quite hard. This is going to upset the BBQ folk!!!0
