This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” is fine.

I just started a thread too so have asked for a mod to delete mine!
Good afternoon everyone
It's so nice to have the forum back. I was lost without my early morning payment a day and OS posts.
The burning question is does Judi have any baby news? Has anyone heard?
Never had YS steak last night so it's been deferred until tonight.
Just off to do some gardening before the rain sets in. I want to do a bit of weeding then am going to spread patio cleaner over the stones and let the rain do its magic.
Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep well and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Oh look, the forum's back!
What a disaster of a day, got up overnight to go to the loo, and on the way back stood on an electrical plug, so have a big skinless hole on my big toe, then got up this morning looking like the elephant man, right eye is swollen almost shut with a blister type thing on eyelid. Went to the chemist, who said it may be an infected eyelid so put a warm cloth on it and if it gets worse go to the docs for antibiotic as drops are unlikely to help.
Will rummage the freezer for dinner as its only me in, otherwise will be feeling sorry for myself with a flannel clutched to my face, have a good day all!RIP Iain

Hello all.
Had a lazy start to the morning - woke at about six but didn't emerge from my pit until 10 to 9. Needing the bathroom is a great motivator.
Husband made a couple of side tables to go beside the arbour for our drinks, so have been sanding them down. He made them out of old pallet wood, and they are the perfect height. He isn't very confident with his DIY skills so really chuffed he even tried.
Quiche and salad for lunch. Sadly not homemade, but we found a stack in one of the freezers so we are working through them.
Have put some fruit juice lollies in to freeze - cherry apple nectar from the Polish range in T*sco. Can't wait for them to be ready!
This afternoon is going to be tidying up, as we have a friend calling down for a brew and a chat later. Might persuade her she wants to sit out with ice cold lemonade and a lolly instead, as it seems a shame to waste the nice weather. Rain due this evening until Monday, with lightening etc tomorrow.
See you all later,
MNot heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.

Good afternoon everyone I'm sitting here waiting for the big storm to arrive supposed to be around three but so far no sign of it.Pottered around this morning and did a bit of ironing so I feel pleased with that. Then i did a stocktake of my freezer and updated my list thats stuck on the outside It hasn't seem to have gone down much at all, mind you with all the hot weather salad seems to be the thing I am eating at the moment .No shopping to get though which is good and only two more weeks until our holidays .
Eldest DD is sunning herself in Zante and having a great time which is nice.I am trying to find some sun stuff that i know I bought last year and have put away so safe I can't find the blooming stuff.teak slices for dinner tonight with the last sweet potato chopped into wedges and done in the remoska , a lot cooler than putting in the big oven as well as cheaper.I did find a couple of strawberry mivvi type lollies at the bottom of the freezer so they will be eaten up as well (well it would be rude not too:):))
I just have to sort out a birthday card for my sis-in-law I have a nice photo frame that I got ages ago in John Lewis' that will make a nice present forn her.
Then its feet up and relax for the rest of the day
hope everyone is OK and not too warm .
Cheers chums JackieO xxx0 -
Afternoon all
Lovely and sunny here, the forecast rain hasn't materialised.
I've not been around much for the last couple of weeks, was rushed into hospital and only been home for a couple of days.
I've lost my login and 3 stone and look 'empty' according to DGS.
Too tired to type more.
Bye for now

Afternoon,
I really missed the forum this morning.
Glad to see you hester sorry you've been poorly, big hugs x
Ooh tru I always start planning for Xmas beginning of August so glad it's not only me:o
I've been a bit down with one thing and another particularly health issues. My athritis is becoming a real problem with one knee needing replaced and my hip and knee on the other side not good, plus worrying about the kids.
I've decided to try and be more positive and think about the stuff I can do. I'm going to get my crochet hooks out and have a go at a ripple blanket which I've never done before.
I've been naughty, for tea tonight ds3 has requested pie and home made chips, I can't bare the thought of cooking for ages this afternoon and saw some Hollands meat and pot pies on special offer, a £1 for 4 so that's what we are having with home made chips, mushy peas and gravy. I know I should make my own but I don't care!
Going to sit and have a read now while its all quiet and peaceful.
Hugs for those who need one, have a good Saturday J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
