Vodafone awful signal & reception, anyone better?

I'm sick of not getting a 3G signal with Vodafone now, usually most places I go. Then when I do get a signal from home its awfuil and I have to repeat myself 5 times, its as bad for voice and data services.

How can I check if theres a better network for me, im in Halifax. Also not just Halifax but throughout the UK is there a better network then Vodafone?

I have an iphone 5 so 4g would be handy too.

Thanks

The only rue way is to use a PAYG SIM and try it in the areas you use it most. Maps are a rough approximation only, nothing beats actual research!

If it is really bad get in touch with Vodafone. I renewed my contract with them via a pushy car phone warehouse salesperson just before I moved house and the reception I got in new area (very rural) was terrible. The car phone warehouse person assured me coverage there was good but it wasn't. Vodafone sent me through a sure signal box for free when I complained which left everyone happy and I have continued to be a customer.

Yes like you I get a very poor Vodafone signal which is irritating as I have just bought an Ovivo Sim.
If you look at this link and click on "search at location" and zoom in a lot it will show you where the masts are in your location for all of the networks.

That may give you a clue as to who has the best signal.
Also O2 and Vodafone are in the process of sharing masts to give a better coverage, so Voda may install a transmitter on an O2 mast near you to give you a better signal. That is what I am banking on but so far have not been able to find out the progress on this, perhaps it has already taken place in my area:mad:

    Hi WaddyM,

Thanks for making me aware of this.

For further help with network related queries I'd recommend following the troubleshooting steps in the Network Issues thread on our eForum.

Although I can't provide you with a link to it due to the posting guidelines which company representatives are obliged to follow, you'll find the thread in the eForum's Network Updates section.

If you'd like to discuss your account further, could you email me with your details via the link in our profile here?

All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it'll take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?

Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. Could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?

    Kind regards,

It seems to be a common problem then, I find Vodafone 3G coverage and data ability to be terrible throughout the North East, definitely the worst of all the networks.
