Boiler Flue Locations

I have a boiler that needs moving.
From the top of the boiler, there is a flue that immediately goes through a right angle and then horizontally through the wall.

The centre of the horizontal pipe is about 110cm from the floor.
The boiler height is 82cm http://www.mrboilerrepairs.co.uk/LiteratureRetrieve.aspx?ID=115424
At present the boiler almost rests on the floor, but the floorboards have been cut away, so engineers reach through the gap to fix it. But it isn't very easy for them.
I need to reinstall the (current or a new) boiler in a higher position, as it is too low and hard for engineers to maintain.
I cannot move the flue hole higher up, as it would then be too close to the eaves of the building. I therefore think I need a boiler where the flue comes out of the side or rear of the boiler. Do these exist?
I had an engineer come round to give me a quote, but he thinks the only thing I can do is put a hole in the roof an make the flue go through that, but that will be too expensive for my budget.

Is this one particular company? Have you asked other companies? Most people working/servicing boilers prefer them at a lower height. If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!

Rear flue... Glow-worm Flexicom (combi, system and heat only versions). Ideal Logic:eek:
Side flue...not aware of any.
Vertical flue an option if available for your current boiler?0 -
I'm not sure if this will fit, and be subject to recommendations:
http://www.glow-worm.co.uk/stepone/data/downloads_sd/f6/00/00/boiler-tech-guide-mar-2012.pdf
The flexicom hx (see pages 8-9) will have the bottom about (flue position+[distance between flue and top of boiler]-[boiler height] = 110+7.6-700 = 47.6 cm above the floor.
Have I missed out anything obvious?0 -

It is so low that the engineers have to lie down on the floor and reach through a gap in the floor boards.
I just measured it. It is around 10cm off the floor.
Ah, that is low then! Wasn't obvious from the picture!
What is to the right of the boiler? Is it an outside wall?If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!

This thread stems from the OP's other thread where a BG engineer has apparently condemned this boiler as being unserviceable and recommended replacement purely because he has had to contort himself a bit and also "because parts aren't available any more".
a) Diddums. It must have met MIs when installed otherwise it could not have been signed off. If it didn't meet MI's then there is a case for pursuing the installer.
b) This boiler was last manufactured in 2010. Spares are unavailable? Yes, of course they aren't. [where's the wry smile smiley gone?]
Can't see any justification for OP having to fork out for a brand new installation in those circumstances and shame on BG for suggesting it.

Ah yes, just spotted the BG sticker! They always refuse to touch any boiler that isn't easily accessible for them!If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!
