Airline bankcrupt - Eurocypria booked with Thomas Cook - what's the next step?

Hi, my husband & I booked our dream honeymoon to Crete in September 2010 at our local branch of Thomas Cook. Originally we booked to fly from London Stansted & then after booking it, we were informed a few months later that the route from London Stansted to Heraklion had since been cancelled entirely and our only alternative to go on the same dates as we'd originally booked was to fly from London Gatwick to Heraklion airport instead. We accepted this offer from Thomas Cook and flew from Gatwick and our outboard flight was delayed by approximately 4 hours. Although we'd booked the package with Thomas Cook, the airline that we flew with was Eurocypria. I submitted my EU flight delay compensation letter to Thomas Cook last month however my claim has been rejected as although Thomas Cook chartered the airline to do this route instead of using their own airline, the compensation would have to come from Eurocypria. The Customer Relations team at Thomas Cook kindly gave me Eurocypria's telephone number in Cyprus & their email address. I attempted to email them but it automatically bounced. After doing a bit of research it seems that Eurocypria went bankcrupt in November 2010, two months after our honeymoon.
What can I do now? Is there any rules for how to claim if the airline that you flew with went bankcrupt? Or if the travel agent charted the airline in on their behalves & the airline goes bankcrupt?
Thanks.

as per the previous post you need to confirm what the flight number was to see if it was a wet lease0
