I also have a bichon I get him cut and washed every 6-8 weeks and it cost £20 ( in Essex) and just to add he is a little sod to cut but my groomer does a fab job.0

Breed = Shih Tzu cost of full grooming and nails £17.00 (when I had the two dogs my groomer would only take £25 for the two) she has either her summer cut which is quite close or her winter cut which is obviously a bit longer
Been going to the same person for at least 6 yrs and couldn't imagine taking her anywhere else. We are in South Wales and the groomer is local so I take the dog and pick her up 2 hrs later she goes approx every 6 weeks.
The cost has only gone up £2 since I have been taking my dogs there, the groomer wont charge anymore as she says she loves the dogs, when I lost Sasha last year she was so upset and came to visit mewhich was so nice of her. I do like to buy her a nice Christmas present from the dog every year

Breed of Dog: Bichon
Cost of Groom: £25 includes bath, dry, haircut (pet trim not show cut sos clippers rather than scissoring), ear plucking, claws cut if needed
Area: Ruralish north Wales
How often do you go: every 5 weeks
Are you happy with the Price?: Yes although I thought it was very reasonable it doesn't seem to differ much from the price charged in other areas from the replies, and more expensive in some cases which has surprised me.chris_n_tj wrote: »My Bichon frise (puppy) costs £25
We make sure Ollie is fully brushed out and not knotty, I think its bad to take a knotty dog to the groomers and expect them to sort it.
Totally agree with this. My Bichon is brushed daily so never gets to the knotty/tangled stage, it's so unfair on the dog as well as the groomer. My groomer has been known to charge an extra £5 or £10 if matted dogs are taken. She will take the time to work on the mats the first time, will speak to the owner if it happens a second time but will clipper the dog right down if it happens again after speaking to the owner as she thinks it's too traumatic to put the dog through the detangling.0 -
Breed of Dog: Springer Spaniel
Cost of Groom: £25 but I always give her £30
Area: Dorset
How often do you go: Not often enough!
Are you happy with the Price?: Very happy, hence the tip. She does a brilliant job and my dog is happy when he comes home, we tried 2 other people before - they didn't do a good job and my dog was a nervous wreck when he came home.Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -
Mini Schnauzer, every 5 weeks - £30. That includes anal gland expressed.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0

Breed of Dog: Westie
Cost of Groom: £22 (always give her £25 though)
Area: Stoke on Trent
How often do you go: Roughly every 8 - 10 weeks
Are you happy with the Price?: Incredibly0 -
My dog is a yorkie x chi and I pay £20 for the full works every 2 or so months.0

Breed of Dog: Newfoundland
Cost of Groom: £50
Area: South wales
How often do you go: 8-10 weeks
Are you happy with the Price?: yes, it takes around 3 hours for a full wash, cut and dry and they do quite a bit of clipping around his feet/legs and ears I also have all under his belly shaved too. Not all groomers have adequate facilities to deal with a large 11 stone dog so I am more than happy with the price for the amount of work they do with him.0 -
I've only taken my 6 month old Samoyed to be groomed once so far- Pets at home Groom Room charge £60 a go!
