Orange Upgrade Prices
I have around 6 months left on my contract & today called to see about cancelling to take a new contract out with them. I was quoted £153 to cancel now and be finished with Orange or £158 to cancel if I take out a new contract through them. Is this normal? I've been paying around £40+ a month for 18 months already so if this isn't common then I'll call them back later to speak to a manager. I was in a rush so didn't argue it this morn but checking if worth me calling back to push this at all?
Thanks in advance for any advice

Sounds normal, you have signed a contract to pay a certain amount of money for a certain period, and you haven't completed that period. A new contract would just be an additional contract, and has no bearing on your current contract. It sounds a bit odd that they are charging you more to stay with them than to leave though.0

I would think they'd want to keep you with them if you're giving them £40 a month!0
