Anybody can get free admission to Duxford after 4.30 pm in summer (closing time is 6.00pm) and after 3.00pm in winter (closing time 4.00pm).
It is hidden away on their website at http://duxford.iwm.org.uk/server.php?show=nav.00d002 (right at the bottom of the page) and (as far as I am aware) not advertised at all at Duxford.
When I last visited I got there just before 4.30. The ticket seller was being a bit petty and told me I had to wait the three minutes until 4.30. About a minute later a large party of Americans turned up and went to buy tickets. I got such a look from the ticket seller when I told the person buying about 10 tickets that if they waited a couple of minutes they didn't need to pay.0 -
Children are free at Duxford and you can use Tesco vouchers for adult tickets. Also Duxford is very close to a Park and Ride site to Cambridge.
Recently our family of 3 had a great day out there. Dad (tesco vouchers) and son (free) went to Duxford for 6 hours while I parked at the park-and-ride and had a day shopping in Cambrdige. I'm very much a window-shopper rather than spender so we had a relativity cheap day out that suited us all.0
