Congrats on getting uniform sorted - I want to get on with this soon so I don't leave it until last minute!

Well done on your flowers bargains! I have spent £37.50 in two days on flowers from the florist to say thank you to my babysitters!

Sounds like you are in control of the finances :D

Oh dear, forgot about my poor new diary!!

Well yesterday was very MSE. A NSD and we had lunch at a friends again.

The opticians was ok on Wednesday. DD2 did need new glasses as her prescription is improving :j so that will cost me £15 next week due to her lens needing to be thinned. Also booked an appointment for DH on Saturday so we will have to pay for that..........

Today will be a spend day as I need to buy milk and I planned on going to a different Mr T's to buy uniform but I might have to scrap that idea as DD1's Dad has decided he wants her later this evening rather than this morning which I planned for  DH is also going out this evening so he will need £20. I currently have this in my purse as cash so I might just give it to him.

I have just PADded £7.84 to my CC today and I have PADded £22.95 in total this week to it which is good progress I think seeing as we're trying to save at the same time. Not that that is going well.........

I have exactly £80 available in my account and £25 in my purse. £20 to hubby tonight, £5 in a card for DD2 to take to a party tomorrow. DH will have to pay for his eye test tomorrow, although I expect he will need new glasses so maybe he can pay next week after he's been paid. He also wants a hair cut which will be £10. And today I will be buying milk and bread rolls for tonights dinner of burgers and wedges. Hopefully Sunday night I will have some money left to put in my savings account!!!

So DH has just let me know that it is D-Day for his car on Wednesday. Our mechanic is going to look over it and give us a "pre-mot" (for free) to let us know if it looks like it will fail and how much it would cost to keep it on the road another year. This should give us a good overview on the next few months saving/debt clearing plan

  • Wooo Hooo!!

Great news on the PPI Claim!! That is great!! I'll cross my fingers that it doesn't all get eaten up by the MOT and you can use some of it for debt busting!!

    Happy Friday!!

    Well, what a weekend!!

My PPI money is gone before I've even received it. DH had his appointment at the opticians on Saturday and he needed new glasses and sunglasses which has set us back £550!!! TBF he hasn't had new glasses for over 5 years. Let's hope these last as long! He also left a deposit, which was unnecessary and left us with NO money at all. So yesterday was a NSD even though we were low/without on a few basics so I am just getting ready to go to Mrs S (Sains* seems like a Mrs rather than Mr to me :p )

Once we get the car fund started, I must start up some savings envelopes, one being for DH's glasses!

Right, being pestered to go out by DD2 will update later and hopefully be able to PAD!

So, been to Mrs S. Spent £39 which should be enough for dinners until Friday. Also brought us tickets for the cinema for tomorrow. Just £4 for the 4 of us and I've already brought our snacks which were under £5 so I think that's a rather MSE trip out for the kiddies.

My PPI has been paid directly into my account today so I no longer have to worry about waiting for it to arrive for DH to pay for his glasses as he should be paid as well before his glasses arrive.

  • Thats such a shame about the PPI - its typical isn't it! Just when you think you will have a bit of spare cash, something else comes along and grabs it out your hand!

Enjoy your trip to the cinema,
