Wilkinsons do cheap light luggage, just make sure you always give it a check over BEFORE you leave the airport and if it's damaged report it before you leave.
  • i got a good one from Matalan- the next to largest, which is enough for a female like me who carries the kitchen sink(!!!!), and it weighs about 1.8k if i remember correctly-i know its deffo under 2k, they are £45, and come ina variety of colours. Used it once so far, seems sturdy and has a 10yr guarantee so allin all so far so good!!

Is it a World's Lightest, like this? http://www.matalan.co.uk/homeware/travel-essentials/suitcases-and-travel/s2519698/worlds-lightest-2-wheel-suitcase

If so, just a word of warning that the 10 year guarantee excludes damage done by airlines!

    AIRLINE DAMAGE

Airline baggage handling is the most common cause of damage to luggage. IT luggage are not responsible for any damage that occurs whilst the luggage is in transit.

Rimowa's cases are expensive, it's true. BUT it should last me for life. It's also TSA-approved (meaning they will never have to break the lock to get in) and it has a combination lock built in, making it arguably more secure than other cases. They are also (as specified by the OP) extremely lightweight as well as being durable. However, I definitely bought mine with hold luggage in mind, not hand baggage, so not sure the specific case I have entirely fits requirements (although they do make smaller ones).

We tend to just take hand luggage if going on holiday but for work trips I take a North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag.
No baggage handler will damage that and it's pretty waterproof

EDIT: - you wanted wheels, maybe this one then?
