Hi Guys,

I received MSE's weekly email and saw a 50% sky discount code, so grabbed it, had a look online and pretty much got a good deal.

I decided to ring instead to see if I could haggle even more with their prices.

I confirmed at the end of the call that in particular I was getting 3 Sky boxes, which went somewhere along the lines of.

"So just to confirm, I'm getting a 2TB Sky+ HD box and 2 Sky + HD boxes"

And the adviso confirmed, as I was opting in to multi-room.

So now I check my order, and instead of there being 2 Sky + HD boxes there's only the 2TB, one HD+ and the other is just a standard Sky HD box, after numerous phone calls, I've now been trying to get them to listen into the call.

Can they still turn around and say you can't have that, even though I confirmed the order back? Surely not?

The people I've already spoken to at Sky, think there's no chance I'll get the additional box.

Probably not relevant but one Sky+HD box and two multiroom HD boxes will use all 4 ports on the standard LNB.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Totally irrelevant as an Octo LNB would be fitted with 8 outputs.

Such a shocking deal you ended up with.
I would cancel and tell sky never to darken my door again.

    Has it been installed yet?

If not then you will not get an additional Sky+HD box for free. The best you can get is one of each box type for free, as-in the order you currently have an additional Sky+HD will be £199.

Your best option then is to go the ebay route and pay less than £199 for an additional sky+HD box. The engineer will probably put the twin cable install in if you tell him you're going to do this.

If it has been installed already then cancellations *might* offer a discounted Sky+HD box for less than the ebay price which will have a 12 month warranty.
