Thinking about getting a Sky 2TB box off eBay

Hello
Contemplating the above as Sky want £149 to upgrade my standard HD box.
Additionally should I do so and I fill it with content from Sky Movies, what happens if I reduce my subscription to either Entertainment Plus HD and / or Sky Sports. Do I lose the content? My current package is Sky World, Unlimited Broadband and Weekend Calls.
Thanks...

A valid subscription to a channel at the time is required to view a channel live or recorded. So if you downgrade and remove Movies you will no longer be able to view either recordings or live Movies. It is a subscription to view a channel and not one to archive recordings.0

Oh right, thanks.
So continuous subscription is required to view your what you archive. Didn't realise that...0 -
OTOH, you can record from a channel to which you do not subscribe and then upgrade so you can view the recording.
That's a way of recording all of Sky Movie's limited output and then taking a one month subscription to view them all!Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
