[QUOTE=dalesrider;62634283
]...and with the new 7 day move coming in soon. Then banks may decide that they will simply move you to the 1st bank you mention :rotfl:[/QUOTE]
Could you provide more on this, please? When is that rule coming into effect? How will banks decide to move accounts then?0 -

Starting in a few months, you'll be able to move accounts from one bank to another within 7 days, and have all credits redirected from the old account to the new one for 12 months. Don't know the date off the top of my head, but it's soon.
I think dalesrider was being a bit glib there, a bank can't decide to move you to another one on a whim, but the customer most certainly can.urs sinserly,

those bloody glib guys! opinions4u thats an interesting quote you have "The word "scam" in the title on MSE means: "I've not read things properly", "I don't like the price" or "I've done something stupid and it's upsetting me." Rarely, if ever, is a scam involved." - opinions4u
SO you think plain old lazy thinking outweighs the sharks among us!? I've read a couple of threads today about elderly woman being manipulated at the familys expense. perhaps you are right though, and beyond these obvious cases, it is us who are to blame!0 -
. The money made off of nelh's money being in their coffers in the past is far in excess of any small debt owed now.
Grow up! How much have the bank made from the OP's balance? how much has his account cost them to run, even before he started borrowing their money without their consent?
As to siding with the aggressor, the customer is at fault here, not the bank. I suspect the suggestion that I'm siding with Santander will give many of the regulars here a belly-laugh!0 -
.... yet i have isa with them a very healthy bank account i have sold the account to my partner and parents.
Take a breath.
You have an ISA with them, which presumably you got because it paid the best interest rate at the time?
You have a very healthy bank account with them - - is that your ISA, or your current account? If the former: no bank will give you credit because of the savings account you have with them. If the latter, why did you end up with £19 charges?
"i have sold the account to my partner and parents" - - presumably you mean you recommended the 123 to them? That doesn't give you any browny points with Santander.
Did you call/see them and grovel about being a bit of an airhead and having messed up an otherwise "healthy" bank account whilst being on holidays? They might let you off if it's a first offense.0 -
radio silence and shell shock from the Nehl. Interested to see how this one turns out...0
