If you have such a HEALTHY BANK ACCOUNT.... How have you incurred overdraft charges.

Just because you have other accounts, is not a reason NOT to be charged on one account.

While you can switch to another bank. They will only treat you in the same way should you exceed your limits.

Every bank will charge you if you take money from them which isn't yours.

Ring them up and grovel, maybe you'll get a full or partial refund, but if you threaten them with "I'm changing my bank account" they'll just say "Bye bye then".

As said here, if you are a good customer, call them and apologise and ask for them to waive it as a goodwill gesture, as long as you havent had numerous previous refunds, these things are usually refunded.

Hominu and BaxUk are right. i worked customer service for a US bank and small refunds like yours are only a click away. Call them up sweet and nice, and if they balk, demand the manager and step up the tone. !

But remember if you say you are leaving DO IT>....

Notes are kept and someone who threatens this can easily be outed and with the new 7 day move coming in soon. Then banks may decide that they will simply move you to the 1st bank you mention :rotfl:

Haha oh my, dalesrider you ARE in the know! What cheek of those banks! Personally as an older woman I stick to the strategy of kind and clueless, and they always come to the rescue. I mean I do care about the darlings I talk to, but I'm no stranger to strategy!! Whatever your creed, age or inclination, it is a darstardly bank at the end of the day, so go and get them!!

OP, I'm sorry but you have borrowed money without the bank's agreement. What makes you consider a) you are a good customer or b) you have a healthy bank account if you need to take the bank's money?

Look us poor down trodden bank staff need all this money in the kitty so we can have our year end bonus.... :rotfl:

We deserve every penny when you have to talk to people like the OP who think that ANY charges should be waived. Even though it is their fault.... How dare they take a holiday... I can't afford one.... As they could not spare a min or 2 to check the balance.
