Ok, quick question - I have put in a claim for a cancelled flight directly with the airline and have been told a cheque is on its way. Can I also claim from my travel insurance for the delayed departure?

If you're claiming for a loss and you're recouped it all, I wouldn't have thought so
If it's for the inconvenience, maybe, what does the ins doc say?0 -
What is it? A cancellation or a delayed departure?
You state both, that's all.0 -
It was a cancelled flight - departure was 5 days later !
Told by travel insurance we could claim for delayed departure.
Also told by airline we could claim for cancellation under EU legislation.
Have received airline compensation but travel insurance not forthcoming with information to date. Claim submitted. Originally told we would be able to claim.0
