I was an O2 customer who moved to Sky. I'm still able to use my old O2 email address but I cannot add any new ones.
I need an additional email address but wondered what service is best. I've used hotmail in the past but been bombarded with spam. Sky is now powered by Yahoo and even though I've never used the service or given my sky email to anyone, I've got a shed load of spam in my inbox and nothing I do seems to filter it out - even been sent stuff from myself.
Any recommendations?
Thanks

Gmail every time.
The spam filtering is very good IMHO.No free lunch, and no free laptop

which ever you go with avoid using an address thats firstname_lastname 'type' since most spambots will just try such combinations anyway. but keep it easy to remember...0

gmail here too. Buy your own domain, and then have anyemailaddressyoulike@yourdomain.co.uk addressed to the account. That way you have unlimited addresses at your domain, and you're free to move elsewhere later.
I actually use a different email address for each site I sign up to - mse@mydomain.co.uk for example. That way if spam comes through addressed to a particular email address, I know who sold it and can block the address.
Yes it costs, depending on the domain you go for, but I'd say its well worth it.0 -
