really? do auto's sell for less?
In this case I would say so, small autos tend to attract a smaller market (especially something sporty)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
its alot of money, for that price i could pick up a z4 2005/6 with similar, maybe abit higher, mileage.
is the car on finance, or did you just take out, unsecured, finance for the purchase?
anyone doing a hpi check would see this anyway0 -

I've seend z4's going for 4/4.5k. about 60k miles - anyway was just a quick comparison. theres alot of cars 4k would buy0 -

Maybe when the country was snowed in, but during a heatwave it doesn't happen. Otherwise you should've bought them all and made £2k profit on each of them.
Problem is the OP isn't trying to sell alot of cars, they have one. Peoples tastes differ, some like the 307cc and some don't.0 -
Thanks Guys = very helpful as always on MSELove reading the oldstyle board...always something to learn!0

To be honest, you are asking a dealer price for your car.
The dealer price includes a decent profit margin and people pay that premium to buy from a dealer.
As said yours is an auto, which is a lot rarer than a manual. This is ok if someone is looking for an auto, but limits your market.
Simple fact is your car is worth sub £3500 as a private sale. Which is why you have not sold it in months.0
