We are just looking at setting up our broadband for our house that we move into next week and were considering getting BT Broadband in order to get BT Vision. We can't afford to get Sky TV so considered BT Vision however I was wondering whether anyone has experience with these as we are not sure whether to get this or buy a Freeview+ HD box.
Thanks

Do you know what sort of broadband service you are going to get - a slow unreliable one is useless for internet based TV services. Do a bit of searching to find out what speeds are available in the immediate vicinity of your new house otherwise you might be everso disappointed.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

We can get BT Infinity so would need to take that with BT Vision but I'm presuming if we have any problems with the internet that we will consequently lose some TV channels?0

You don't need Infinity to get BTV, but you do need a fairly steady 3Mbps or better line speed if on ADSL.
If your broadband is down then you lose all the on-demand content. All the other channels are delivered via Freeview, so you need a proper external aerial in order to get them, just as you would without BTV.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Yes, thats right. However, I've had Infinity installed since Nov and it has been 100% reliable. And you need Infinity anyway to get the full suite of all the new internet television channels that are now available.0
