Thanks for the update. Did the dentist give you any anti-biotics?
When do you have to go back?
I don't know why, but the dentist didn't give me any antibiotics. I was in too much shock at the time, to even press her. She asked if I was allergic to penicilyn and then just said, well, I'll just give you these pain killers (ibuprofen), of which I already have a large stock. But I took them anyway.
I had to go back on friday to have stitches out. However, I phoned them an hour ago and asked to change the appointment as I've got some work on friday now. The receptionist reckons they are disolvable stitches and it shouldn't matter that the dentist can only now fit me in NEXT thursday. 15 August. Still puzzled as to why I didn't get some antibiotics. I've had about six stitches!

Sorry to quote myself, but I'm wondering whether it might be worth phoning up and asking for some for collection. Because i'm very very worried about infection. Surely its beter to take them as a preventative measure rather than after something goes wrong?

Well, in the Westerns you always see the likes of Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp pouring whisky over gunshot wounds to disinfect them - so I'm sure your whisky will have done your poorly gum a lot of good !

Second day doing Jessie Wallace work out, I'm impressed I've done it 2 days in a row, lol. I would thoroughly recommend it for beginners.
Getting my hair done later too, want to go lighter with the highlights to hide the grey starting to come through not sure whether to go for half head or full head. I don't wear it up but want the grey covered.0 -

An extracted tooth leaves a clean socket. It will heal from the socket upwards. Any blood coming out will also push germs out. A salt water rinse should have been recommended, are you using that?
Antibiotics aren't normally prescribed. A review in a week/ish, is fine.The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -
