Afternoon elite.
I was wondering if I could ask your advice. I know you're a well-travelled bunch.....does anyone have any suggestions for a European destination that is reasonably priced in terms of accommodation/food etc?
I have some air miles I need to use before October so the (European) world is my oyster.
Any and all recommendations welcome

Tried the OXO it did not work, you win some and you lose some
Still very happy with both my shops spent the grand total of £9.70 cash after multi buys, mocs and pp's. Good job really I only had a tenner in my change purse forgot my other purse with my bank card and club card at home, missed out on over 100 cc points oh well
Just had an heated discussion with my oh, he notice I had left my purse at home so wondered how I paid for all shopping, he brings the shopping in from the car, he can not get his head around how this all works out. Showed him my receipts and he still can not understand how it works, we have now called a truce, I do the shopping and he just does the eating and drinking, works for me
Hi vouchercrazy you can have your CC points added on at CS think you got 14 days from date on receipt.0 -

It is chuckin it down here! Stan happy as he's got out of mowing the lawn, the lazy old git. Well, he wont get his desert tonight.
Sorry you didn't manage to find them:(. It seems no-one's managed to buy them at 12p in A??:(:(
There were plenty of them in my Sains again this afternoon!!:):T Wasn't too happy initially when I took the first one towards the front of the shelf and found expiry date of Sept 13. Reached to the back, though, and found plenty of Mar 15 ones!
(Just been to check and they are transferring into my basket on a.com at 12p each. :(I was rather hoping they were actually out of stock in A after that!)
Although - in Sains, not much point having to spend around an extra £10 in order to get the £20 spend and then not able to get much, if anything, that's cheaper in A due to the £10 cap:(. Nonetheless, I did a second shop - replaced my £9.96 BM with a £9.99 one!:rotfl::rotfl::) I now have a lot of things in my fridge that I managed to find (own-brand) Sains. cheapest on:T. I will go and order it all soon, and make sure it's all used within its use-bys! I could have done with these chilled things anyway - and thanks to this, I now have them!:) Even found some bacon instore that was cheaper than the ones on msm:(. (Frowning as would have been much easier to do my calculations if the 82p 300g bacon had been on msm.)
That, also, created a problem on my shop - problem is I am buying too well! I was then having to find more items (and very good value, cheaper ones at that) as I'm not spending enough!:D Not easy using cheap fillers to top the limit - but, after using some of my usuals, I got it! (Also had to avoid some items I'd already got enough due to my earlier shop today.) In the event, I went for 7x Oxo Reduced Salt Chicken, with a cereal spend (from a cereal spender perhaps:( - oh well, spender that spends a lot getting the extra points, then gets most of the spend back on a voucher:D:D). I will be looking forward to reading the results on the two shops tomorrow, even if it's merely academic interest!:rotfl::rotfl:
Go on Sains - match those brands!:D:rotfl:Compared to the price showing on a.com at any rate on my two shops!:) My 9 packs of cubes should now see us in good stead for their dates. Just hoping A don't reduce the price to two pence now:rotfl:.
Many thanks Tweets for your post last night (which I missed at the time:o) and thanks trulymadly for reposting this a.m. - I don't think it would have been picked up on as much without you reposting!:):):T0 -
My shopping trips today... I got an apg of £12.34
from As getting the haddock and the chocs (not worth £2!:p) as well as other stuff.
Then I went to Ts and got 3 fuel vouchers and pp of £7.51on a £17 spend, then off to Ss for a bm of £8.93
after stocking up with reduced salt oxos and fillers. Thanks so much to all ops...

How much? £1.49 for fun sized gala apples in Ald1 . I know some people swear by Ald1 and L1dl but apart from fruit/veg/deals now and again (not all the range) I am not convinced that they are cheaper (or maybe it is just the way we shop with glitches and APG etc?).

:eek: I know! All the stores seem to have ridiculous prices on fruit now. Packs in the majors are much smaller than they were and now well into the over £1.00 mark (e.g. £1.50 upwards) compared to any for £1 anymore.
We need a glitch on fruit, and desperately as it's not something you get away with not buying.
These ones in Aldi were 89p about a month ago!:rotfl:Just utterly, utterly ridiculous now at £1.49. Best I've managed at the mo. is the "BPBV" Oranges packs in M (£1.00 again this week, hoping it doesn't now end straightaway tomorrow) and the Savers Apple Packs - price increase from 82p to 84p then to current 99p:eek: - although they were weighing in at 800g, so not that bad. Careful though - they seem to change pack sizes and weights every single week in M, so you can't assume if you pick some up tomorrow (and they're still 99p) that they will still be 'worth' what you're getting. You therefore do need to weigh the packed fruit, though I seem to be the only one in my store that does so!:rotfl:(General Joe Public paying over the odds again.)
Tried again in Sains. this afternoon - Basics apples packs having more than the minimum 4 in them - but weighing in at a stingy 600g. At ninety pence! No way. I put them back!!:)
Other than the M Savers ones (800g) - sort of a pound for 800g is 'okay', even if we have had 1kg packs of Savers pears on two specific weeks only earlier this year (current prices on all pears ridiculous) - the only others worth bothering with, in my view, are Bananas at 68p for a kilogram.0 -
