Morning all. Not been here much as can only reply in work tho I read a lot at home. I have a Q for anyone who got an Archos tablet. It's great for surfing the net but I have terrible problems using it to say write and email or reply on a forum. All the images disappear and I cant see what I'm typing. Does anyone else have this problem and have they found a way to fix it? Please and thank you.

Not too hard.;)
I think that quite a few people subscribed to the Daily Mail online. If memory serves me correct, after the months free trial, it cost about £50 for a year. There were ALWAYS loads of coupons in it. T accepted downloaded coupons. Some are below. Anyone remember the book club?
Bring back any memories to anyone?0 -

Did loads customers get X boxes free and money back because they 1p over price ?
Yes, usually because it was sold with the 'game of the week' for say, £20. The game always went through at the normal price - £30-40. Used to happen everyweek or they would feature the 'wrong' game, same scenario. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Don't forget the walkmans, dvd's, cd's, telephones, irons, toys, clothes (wouldn't pay 4p for sale clothes as they went through at the original price on a lot of occasions), books, kettles, toasters, food processors, the occasional tv, pushchair and cot. Not forgetting the meat, Christmas time turkeys/hams/puddings, H&B, multibuys were notorious for not deducting the discount, wine, spirits, champers, fruit, dairy other groceries. I'm sure that someone will come along and remember other stuff.
It was rather a good time.;)0 -
I was saving for a car with MP. I had over £5k (converted) and was going to get one around £7k and pay the difference cash. Had decided the car I wanted and I was all ready to book my flight to Glasgow and MP pulled out of deals.......gutted!!
Wasn't so bad....Ts took the vouchers back and credited them to my account. 5K worth!! No questions asked. I used them for an AI hol to Egypt, couple of expensive watches from Goldsmiths, bedroom furniture from MFI and flights.
Best thing was that at that time As and Sainsbugs were accepting the CC vouchers in store here cos they had not long opened. Therefore, I had the original load of blue CC vouchers which I had converted online....used these in Sains and As, then got the MP vouchers credited to CC account. So the next qtr I got the recredited blue CC vouchers sent out again and was able to use them in Sains and As again. All legal and above board.
They were throwing the points at you in those days......!
How I loved combining the H&B with the Stop Smoking along with manufacturers coupons. I had a couple of fav check out boys who I coached in the art of couponing and our fav Sat morning game was 'till ping' (paying the exact amount in coupons so that the balance was £0 and the till drawer would ping open!) :rotfl::rotfl::cool:0 -
Morning all.
Hope everyone is ok.
So last night the hubby heard an enormous crash from upstairs. He legs it up thinking lil man has fallen outta bed. He hadn't. He pokes his head in our room and finds me sat on the floor literally crying with laughter. I had jumped outta bed to grab something, stepped backwards, fell over my own 2 feet and landed on my ar5e!! Our bed is a big wooden thing with a sort of ledge running round the edge. I had hit the ledge on the way down and it has bruised my bum something evil. Omg the bloody pain, I can't bend over without wincing or put my phone in my back pocket. The hubby though it was hysterical and has ripped the piddle out of me all night.
Can I have some sympathy please, my bottom hurts:rotfl:

I can remember getting the double pack of ds games as they had overcharged me a penny. Had a few good penny ones, steam irons spring to mind, got 2 £47.99 priced up £47.97. Certainly kept the CS on their toes during that time and spread the love wide as got very well known locally
Was on first name terms! I was asked to do an 'assisted shop' many times but I was always too busy. One of the funniest moments was when the PID manager asked me where his department were going wrong. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
