I really will be 70 on August 19th ! ( DH is taking me up the Douro on a river cruise ). I don't feel 70, hopefully I don't look it (especially with my new slimline figure ) and I have absolutely no intention of acting my age ! Although I can go into dotty old biddy mode if it will help to get my own way !

Pictures please. Police proof idenitity squad here!!! :)

We're almost in same position, no shops for 5-6 miles or 10 in 3 different directions. In this weather (humid, too hot to shop) and in the winter I stock up on long life. The Just milk (or whatever they call it now) is pretty good for a standby - only buy it on offer though! Asda smartprice skimmed 52p a litre has been finding its way into a shop comparison lately - compares OK and is useful if you do run out.

You're just a baby yet re bike-riding. I think I'm eligible, due to my advanced age, for a bus pass now - won't do much good though with 2 buses a day & either 6 hrs or 5 mins to do a shop in.

    Another youngster:T:T:T

There is a glass floor in the CN Tower, 1,122 feet up. I KNEW it was perfectly safe to walk on, but I simply could not do it!

Give me DTD/R&R any time. Mind you, most DTD I do are at least R&R anway :D

I buy at least 25 packets when they are this price. They're lush. :)

That's my idea - perhaps not that extreme though. Make sure whatever amount you buy, that none of them go off.

They used to have an area in the Natural History Museum with a glass floor that was so polished that you really couldn't see it easily - it was designed to show how babies had no sense of depth/height and would crawl/toddle straight across the glass without any fear. They had to dismantle it as so many adults gort really stressed and upset as they were scared of the depth and it gave them the shakes.

I've walked over a glass floor section like that but I can't remember where :o I was bricking it

Edit: must have been the observation floor of the WTC. And the view from the roof was astonishing.
