O2 and the Tube's free wifi - not working for me
I have an O2 Samsung smartphone and saw the adverts and on O2 web site that the free London tube wifi (run by Virgin) was now extended to work with O2 phones.
Only on mine it doesn't. O2 don't understand this (it is one of their phones). I'm on PAYG - which should make any difference according to the ad.
Has anyone with an O2 phone got this to work? If it only works if you have mobile data access then O2's ads and web site need changing or I'll be off smartish to The Advertising Standards Authority.

Funnily enough, I was actually in London last weekend and connected to this for the first time.
I selected (I think it was called) VirginMedia WiFi, then a popup appeared in Safari asking me to select which provider I was using (note O2 was in the 'other providers' list). I then selected this and it connected automatically each time I entered a WiFi enabled area.
I do believe, in addition to the above, you need the 'O2 Wifi' app?
For info I'm using an iPhone but I guess the process is similar for all makes.0 -

you do know it only works on the platforms and not on the trains
so if you are on the train and trying to use it...it won't work.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.0
