Help laying out a bathroom please

Hi, I really need help in how to lay the bathroom out as i'm stumped. I have made layout after layout and just for the life of me can't think what's the best way.

This is the bathroom:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v240/neneromanova/20130724_111921_zpsa0a9ffd7.jpg

It's W 1470mm X L 2540mm. The soil pipe at the back is 235mm X 110mm

I would Ideally like this kind of Shower bath (We NEED a shower to be put in this room so thought this was the best bath to go for)

I'd like a shower mounted wall, not one from the taps as we want a proper shower. We have a combi boiler if that makes a difference.

I was thinking of layouts like this:

Layout 1

Layout 2 (Bath would need setting into the wall a little either side)

Layout 3

Or are none of those layouts advisable?

Please Help. All ideas are welcome :D

God Kitchens are sooo much easier to layout :rotfl:

I have no building or plumbing experience, but I always look to put the bath on the short wall. It makes the bathroom feel MUCH bigger and if the wall is just the right length eliminates a nasty dust trap to clean in. Tbh, putting the bath on the short wall is such a great solution I am always surprised when people don't do it if there is no obvious reason not to.

    here is your obvious reason

    It's W 1470mm X L 2540mm.

1470, is too small for a decent bath!

to be honest OP I think that the original layout with a shower screen added would be best, the toilet would feel pretty cramped with a wide bath.

Where would you put the shower? Can you not have bath? Personally I would have a wall built at end of the bath next to the sink to mount a shower with a shower screen then easy to clean blinds on the window that can survive splashing etc

Yeah i was thinking that, but the bath juts out 850mm from the wall so would maybe be in the way of the door?

I'll go measure that and see if it works. It was layout 1 (just didn't put the new wall on the plan)

Also consider where the existing services are-primarily the WC waste, which is the most tricky to relocate.

The Toilet waste is where the toilet currently is, so I did have the idea of putting it round a corner, but someone mentioned to me that's a lot harder that just a straight pipe so I looked at layouts where the toilet stays in the same place

It's not only harder, but it eats up more space at floor level, as you have to run a 100mm waste along and around-and then maybe box it in.
Running the hot and cold supplies to new locations is relatively simple.

As someone that fits bathrooms and kitchens for a living, trust me your bathroom is too small for a shower bath.

Have never worked out the obsession with shower baths. For years people managed to shower over a standard 700mm bath.

    That's a fair enough reason! :)

Yeah I did measurements upstairs and 850mm looks like it's out of the question. 750mm looks like it would go though, would that look stupid? One of these:
