My car's got several different sizes.
Yes. I'll certainly not be relying on their "suggestions" in future!I ordered brake pads and discs from these guys a couple of weeks ago. Once you have selected your make, model, year and go to the correct section on the website for the part you require a new selection to the left appears that allows you to refine your cars specs even further (which narrowed down my choices from about 10 to 4 and allowed me to purchase the correct parts.)
Not that you will ever order from them again! Just a tip in case you do.
Edit - It'd also be interesting to see if they still suggest the parts you purchased once you had refined your search to your exact model.
Bit of a silly way for them to do it really.
Yes I see that now. Thing is, the only way I'd know the parts they suggested were different sizes would be by checking all of them! There was just no indication further filtering was necessary - seems to me it makes no sense to make any suggestions at all if the parts listed are different!
It works if there's only one type of car you're looking for but if there are lots with different types, it's going to throw up a lot of results!0 -
RESOLVED!
Thanks everyone for your help for this. Some good customer service eventually.
A shame I had to threaten them with legal action/TS but they've agreed to refund me for the goods and given a gesture of goodwill towards the additional costs I paid to the mechanic!
They've said that the 28 days for a refund point is merely internal policy (i.e. the time in which they can actually authorise a refund) so I'm assured they'll be retraining their staff to ensure there's no confusion in how that's purveyed in future.
Good result (in the end!)0
