Unfortunately there isn't one anywhere near me. Plus I had to get the mechanic to put on the correct set else I'd have to pay for labour twice, so a swap is no longer viable and sending them back will cost around £20-25.0 -

I don't understand how they would cost that much to return.

£8 ish for up to 10kg?0 -
Next time get the mechanic to order the parts. You may pay a little more, but then a non fitting or mis ordered part is your problem.0

That was just a Royal Mail estimate. I haven't enquired with couriers yet.
In any case, I'm loath to having to pay to return it when it was their error to begin with and the offer of a swap is not really any good to me now I have the parts I need!0 -
Different parts can be fitted to cars of the same year / engine size, you need to know before hand.
My car's got several different sizes.0 -
I ordered brake pads and discs from these guys a couple of weeks ago. Once you have selected your make, model, year and go to the correct section on the website for the part you require a new selection to the left appears that allows you to refine your cars specs even further (which narrowed down my choices from about 10 to 4 and allowed me to purchase the correct parts.)
Not that you will ever order from them again! Just a tip in case you do.
Edit - It'd also be interesting to see if they still suggest the parts you purchased once you had refined your search to your exact model.
Bit of a silly way for them to do it really.0 -
You have 6 weeks. Small claims court time to remind them of SoGA it can be done on-line, but send them a letter before action first. Though if you paid by card is easiest to do a secton 75 - see aboveDo you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0
