New Orange Rip Off

Orange are trying to charge me for a contract that should have ended.

On the 16th June I was supposed to leave Orange and mysteriously... my access to the network continued. Now they want MORE money to cover that period.

I requested my PAC code on the 16 May, to serve as my one month notice. On 11th June I gave the PAC to 02 and they activated it. Only problem was my Orange service... Just. Wouldn't. Die.

It kept going. I phoned them and they told me they were having trouble with the porting software. It took eight days for the 02 service to start in earnest. Now I've received a bill from Orange charging me pro-rata for the calls I made in the interim, during a period when I shouldn't have even been with the network anymore. It's a tenner. Not much, but a substantial p-take in my view.

It's due to be taken from my account on 12th August, but to my mind Orange will NEVER see that money on account of them being chiseling, incompetent bee-stewards.

Will I get the bailiffs coming round?

If Orange had closed your account before the port had taken place, you would have lost your number.

If you made the calls, then why do you think you don't need to pay for them?

They probably won't waste time with bailiffs for £10, but they will trash your credit rating.

Same when old man ported out, the service was live and able to make calls for days with the old number ported out showing when making calls - even though all incoming/outgoing calls were with new telco ?
