The S700i is a great little phone.

I used to have the Nokia 6600 and when the 6630 came out i got the 6630, but was very dissapointed (battery last less than a day).

I took it back for the S700i and i've never looked back, battery lasts me a week before recharge. Camer is great, screen is great, i can't fault it.

    Would definatley recommend the s700i.

Thanks for that! I was also looking at the 6630 (as I like the symbian 60 operating system), however I need decent battary life.

Does the s700i allow for installing softwares and games etc?

    Thanks

s700 is a sweet phone, mine has had software glitches but vodafone replaced mine for free without any questions asked. if you want to make the most of it though, remove all the badged software on it (like alot of the networks do) and then be able to use all mp3s and other bits and bobs for it without the ''content license'' protection stuff coming up on it. Camera as mentioned above is SWEET on that phone...

    HTH.

The 6600 is like a brick in size and technology compared to the S700i.

And i have installed downloaded games/music onto my PC, then straight onto the memory card, easy to do.

    Hi,

I havenot used a S700 myself. However as a user of a Nokia 6600 I find it very hard to use any other none symbian phone.

If you just want a phone the S700 is a cracking phone. (have you seen https://www.E2save.co.uk Vodafone offer of £9.99 amonth for 9 months and 37.50 for last 3 months incl 200 Mins and 100 SMS . You need to claim cashback)

If like me you are forever downloading New software, I would hang on and see what the Nokia 6680 is like.

    best regards

    Barry

I always had nokias, from 3210,3310,3330,8310,7650,6600,6630 then i changed to the S700i and had no problems using it, like above, if the 6680 is no good the same as the 6630 then i'll stick with Sony/E.
  • My son has S700i on O2 contract and loves it to bits. Camera is superb and the phone is really stylish. He has had a number of problems receiving emails at times which proved troublesome but just lately it seems to have settled down. If you search on http://www.avforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=106 for s700i you'll find plenty of info about it, including software downloads.

What does a symbian phone mean. I am just about to upgrade and am torn between 6230i and Motorola V620 (think it looks nice) but have only had Nokia's (14 years, first was a 101 now thats a brick)
    £2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.

  • kazd,
Symbian or Symbian OS refers to the operating system used by the phone. Several years ago phone/PDA/computer manufacturers got together and collaborated in creating an operating system for their devices. Symbian was the result.
...and then the window licker said to me...
