It cant be illegal, I saw a house in Doncaster S.Yorks where not only did they ( Npower and BG ) cut them off but they came and dug all gas and electric connections up to and inside the house . No meters or cables at all to or inside the house. The occupants, a drug addict , his wife and two kids where surviving with a small petrol generator. £6000 was needed before reconnection. It is still disconnected even now many years later. I might add that the utilitys had got sick of constant bypassing by the drug addict

Think we may have miscnstrued the OP's issue with PPMs.
    I've tweaked the below...

Obviously having a PPM is going to cost more than not paying bills on a credit meter....

I have got a bad credit report for the next 6 years anyway. Nothing can change that now, only thing is to wait 6 years no other option.

Exactly. So what you don't want to do is run up further debts during those 6 years (not that you'll find that easy to do without access to any credit).
You might well prefer not to have a PPM installed (contrary to all the good advice already given by others on this thread), but you simply won't have the option.

    Photogenic
Perhaps if you read the rest of my sentence?

But in the context of the OP that doesn't help, those arrears should be going into his debt in the DRO, not collected seperately.

    - precisely
    - hence the " DRO as quickly as possible "
    - and the " don't want to pay until the day after the DRO is issued "

I am trying to get the DRo through quick, then pay from the day after the DRO. so there is no need to fit PPM.

your credit score will be 99 with all suppliers, as the dro database will flag it to the provider no matter who you move to
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

What do you mean bypassing by the drug addict?
The GFC used to stand for global financial crisis. Now it stands for the global financial catastrophe.

Bypassing the meter ie. stealing gas and electricity.

Bypassing the meter - bit of wire from the in wire to the consumer unit - dangerous and illegal as its theft. Gas bypassing is even worse!
