How many people had a baby in the UK yesterday? And do you know what, every one of the babies born are equally important. The fact that we pay the communications tax (TV licence fee) to fund this carp is more than annoying.
I've nothing against royalty for the tourists but it is certainly time their constitutional role was ended.I think....0 -
I would rather watch coverage of the Royal baby instead of being constantly reminded through a continuous news loop of how much Britain is in the toilet morally, financially and politically.0

What baby ?
Has there been a new baby ?
You think they would have mentioned it on the Tv.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Couldn't overly give a toss either way tbh, I wouldn't support getting rid of the royal family because they cost less than 60p per UK taxpayer per year. If we get rid of them I think we'd lose most if not all of that in foreign tourism revenue in London, plus I'd gladly pay 60p per year not to have President Blair, Brown or Cameron on the currency that I spend.
That said, they don't interest me that much. As I said on Facebook 18 hours ago
"I'm sorry Kate but your attempts to interest me in the royal baby are unsuccessful. Labour isn't working."If you don't like what I say slap me around with a large trout and PM me to tell me why.
If you do like it please hit the thanks button.0 -
Given current life expectancy rates, he's likely to be king (which is what I presume all the fuss is about) when I'm about 103. I'm trying to contain my excitement. I've managed so far.Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0

A highly privileged young man has fathered a child who will have every advantage in life. A single, dignified announcement would have been sufficient.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0

Its starting to get on my nerves.
The royal family have had their day and while I don't mind the queen I think it serves to highlight the widening social inequalities in todays society.
There are people in this country who are struggling to feed their kids, just look at the increase in the use of food banks. The social inequalities are wide and getting wider. This government isn't addressing the real issues, they just put out media spin which encourages the demonization of unemployed and fuel racist attitudes using it as an excuse for the current state of the economy instead of introducing real, intelligent social policy which will address the problems we have.
I m sick of all the sycophants crawling out of the woodwork too, clamouring to join the club.
As a human being I am happy for them and wish their child health and happiness but feel that it puts into sharp focus the fact that many children are being born into poverty in GB and unfortunately wont have the advantages he has through no fault of their own but only because of the system in which we live.

I think it's lovely news.0

It is lovely news, and a great advert throughout the world on what a fantastic, unique country we are to have such a famous royal family.
The BBC coverage did at times get repetitive though, and the journalists were talking a lot of twaddle to fill in time. More historical facts from experts would have been more interesting.0 -
Gotta love that fast forward button on the remote0
