I am not sure if I have already posted this on this thread but I never use my tumble drier, instead I hang my wet clothes up on their coathangers and then hang them on my upstairs curtain poles, then the heat goes straight up when the heating is on, the clothes are not blocking the heat by being on the radiators and they are not in the way. Also they dry very quickly and are then ready ( and normally crease free) to go straight into your wardrobe
I also very rarely use the tumble drier.

Buy a bike through the cycle to work scheme and save up to 45% off the cost of a bike (you get it VAT free and pay for it over 12 months out of your pre-tax income). Use it at least 2 days a week - cut down on your commuting costs. http://www.cyclescheme.co.uk/
Buy pet feed from agricultural feed merchants. All market towns will have at least one and dog/cat food and bird seed are at least a quarter the price of supermarkets. They often stock dry groceries such as flour and porridge oats and huge sacks of potatoes too.Debt at LBM (20th March 2008) £13,607

Hello everyone. I keep reading about using vinegar as a cleaning agent of choice, but have been unsuccessful in finding white vinegar anywhere. Where is white vinegar sold? Thanks for any help :T0

Excellent system and here's a UK link for a worldwide company http://www.homelink.org.uk/ (the one we're members of). It has a very cheap annual membership and the rest is up to you. If you give it a try you'll be a bit nervous the first time, but gob-smacked by the properties on offer around the world, and better still NO CHARGE. Enjoy!
I`d love to do this, but i`m a council tenant

i just bought 4 x gift sets from boots - should have been £12-15 each - i paid £5-7 each.
now all i've got to do is stash them at the back of the cupboard.
they cost me nothing but mum, sister, gran and friend will all be happy
EDITED TO SAY: forgot to add - i collected the advantage points too - now have £3.20 towards christmas 06 too.
Also use those "freebie samples" (Perfumes/Make-up/Lotions) as stocking fillers!

Wow, it has just taken me the whole weekend to get through this thread, i love it - alot of the ideas i do already, but have picked up a few - mixing half hair colourant, using cheap shampoo for 1st wash & putting hot water in thermos for tea later.
i have a few to offer:
a cheap version of SCREENWASH try a drop of washing up liquid with a jug full of water
buy kitchen foil in serated box, once finished keep box & replace tube with asdas own tube
definitely switch off electrics, martin advised us in sky mag, switching off microwave at electrics saves £50 a year!!
left over easter eggs - melt over a saucepan of water & dip strawberries/marshmallows kids love this (i always do it at my daughters b/day parties) any chocolate left over freeze in ice-cube tray
this one is more for your health - always switch off mobile whilst charging, cos if you answer it there is a live current running through - very dangerous!!
plus have managed to get a piano & fridge/freezer from freecycle
feng shui to save make sure toilet seat is down!!!!:rotfl:....YOU LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY....
