I worry for the types who think there is ANYTHING AT ALL to celebrate!
Have 1-2 days off each week, that will be even better ! :T
Might even improve quality of your job search & applications.
Something that is lost on DWP, JC & idiot Tories is quality over quantity.0 -
Have a day off, just do something different, anything, it should do you world of good !

those that think you can look for work for 35 hours a week are deluding themselves, yeah maybe one week or even two but by week three you would have fired off CV to every business within a 20 mile radius, that would just leave seaching for present job vacancies when they come up.
let the JSA people demand a 35 hour search a week but in reality it's no where near that.0 -

Presents? Really? On JSA? HmmmWe’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Interesting how you turn your job seeking responsibilities into a perception that someone else should do something. Interesting how you interpret every as mon-fri.
When you get a job you'll be able to have the employers specified non contracted days off which may include weekends.0 -

Strange how when it's open to interpretation you always interpret the lower figure saying they'd specify if higher.
Stranger still when they do specify something like 'every' you claim isn't really 'every', just mon-fri.0 -
donnajunkie wrote: »i am not saying that at all. i am saying legally all they can require of you is what you have agreed to. an agreement that has common sense is what i am suggesting should be the case. that is how they used to be until this get tough nonesense came along. it would say something like jobsearch 3 to 4 days per week. this is correct because takes into account that some weeks have holidays in them, some weeks you may be ill for a day or 2, some weeks you may have a funeral to attend etc.
Another gem from that negative mindset of yours.

you can refuse to work on a Sunday so they do not mean 7 days at all.
Fact is you can do what is asked of you in an hour a week, if you really think we sit here and look for jobs for 8 hours a day 7 days a week you are not has sensible as your user name would have us believe0
