No because it wouldn't be on that basis alone these are the questions we answer (may not be the exact wording)
does customer have a jsag or cc
Referring to the jsag/cc why do you feel the customer has not made their best efforts to find employment?
how many steps has customer agreed too.
how many steps has customer actually taken.
were there any jobs during the period that cust could have applied for( etc 3 on ujm, 4 on indeed exact jobs not required)
is customer a wp participant... if yes
has customer engaged with wp during the period
did anything wp ask customer to do restrict on j/s
This is what I struggle to understand that a claimant can be sanctioned for not applying for jobs but not allowed to put their side across why they didn't apply for those jobs. I am not saying that the case shouldn't be referred but the claimant should have the right to put in a defense so the DM can make an informed decision. There may be a valid reason why they didn't apply for the job(s).0 -

Because the customer is meant to be applying for everything they are capable of, if a customer applies for 5 jobs over the fortnight but we find 20 that they could of ie meets there hours, no experience required etc. Then the way its seen is the customer cant have been doing everything possible to look for work. if an advisor can find those jobs in 20 mins etc. why couldn't the customer over the 2 weeks.0 -

Should they be applying for hundreds of jobs per week ?

Interesting, that's unfair practice, as clearly many people never put down everything they do and won't remember on spur of moment.
Its the customers responsibility to provide info of what they have been doing.
People need to be putting down the valid info.. if they had of in the beginning, the ase referral would never need to have been raised0 -

So whats the minimum amount of 'extra' jobs you have to find that they didn't apply for. 15 jobs, yes I can see that there wouldn't be valid reasons why they couldn't apply for them all, but an extra 2 or 3 jobs it is feasible they had a reason to not apply for them. I hardy ever see a job that states 'no experience required'0 -

There isn't a minimum, as I said everything is looked at not just the amount of jobs that's only a small part of it0
