not happy at all. there was me signing thinking in and out. no, they say to me you havent seen your adviser for a while would you do a group session. its just to catch up and to say we've seen you and to deal with any issues you have. i say yes ok. they come back and say sorry its full but your adviser can fit you in now. dont worry they say its just a quick chat to see how things are going. guess what i am now saddled with 2 pointless courses that i dont need in the new year. one is a session telling us how to use ujm even though i have been useing it fine since june. another is a jobclub type thing even though i have all i need to do jobsearch at home. i have to wait for a letter through the post for that one because they cant refer more than 2 weeks in advance. so they are going to do it on news years eve as they said they are in work then. i thought it doesnt surprise me that a person like you hasnt booked holidays in and is choosing to work. the letter better arrive in time. anyone with common sense would have said the one course will do you for now and i'll leave the other until the next time i see you.

Make sure you know more about the UJM than the person doing the 'course'

Ask them where the cover letter goes?
Ask them why it does not record 3rd party applications?
Ask them why your searching activity don't show up on your account

Not to catch them out just to see if they really do know. IF they don't then why are they taking courses in how to use it?

yes thats one of the 2 stances i often take when they waste my time. i either ask questions or i let it go in one ear and out the other while day dreaming. i will judge what is best at the time.

If you completed the WP in June you may have been placed in the '6 months business as usual' category.....i.e. sign on fortnightly, not referred to courses and generally left alone. As this 6 month period is now over the JCP may have now placed you into the mandatory intense regime which usually means signing weekly, stricter conditionality checks, more interventions with JCP and being placed on any courses/work placements that your advisor/coach deems necessary. If this is the case this will run up until April 14 when you then be considered for daily signing or a 6 month work placement.

There is one and only one reason you're unemployed and it's you attitude.

Ps the jobs on your jsag are goals you can be matched to anything your capable of doing. Ie warehouse jobs which are obviosly too lowly for someone with an aat lol.

You're restricting yourself and you'll be saying hello to an RE sanction soon enough unless you change you highand mighty attitude

    Too da loo

It's cos people don't always give chances to unemployed for various reasons such as too much experience etc plus the recession and the amount if businesses going bust

Hi I've checked this for you today and guidance states the following:

Participation is entirely voluntary for all participants. Sanctions may be applied where a participant has lost their place for reasons of gross misconduct ( sanctions do not apply to 16/17 year olds).

Is there guidance that says you must show the jobs you have looked at but not applied for?
  • I havebeen polite to the ones I see but they have been far from polite

My PWP one is a petty vindictive bully who makes it up as she goes along

i was hassled alot for a few months then forgot about for couple of months. they were meant to just have a quick chat with me. they werent supposed to be sending me on more courses. they done so because they are a t**t and not for any other reason. i was told by the person who signed me the reason i hadnt been seen for a while was down to how busy they are and nothing to do with any category i was in.

if someone has been out of work for a long time the chances are they will never work again. due to their lack of common sense the jc dont realise or accept this. so they hassle people, send them on courses etc. if you arent having any joy they assume you are doing something wrong and send you on a course to deal with the imaginery problem. they dont have a course that deals with employers reluctance to employ a long term unemployed person sadly.

Latest trick they have is to blame you even when you've done everything you are supposed to
