Hi,
I have a phone socket in my flat which is not connected & I want broadband.
Does anyone know of a supplier who can connect the line & supply phone & broadband without me having to get BT to activate the line & then switch suppliers in 3 months time?
Thanks,
Geoff.

Greetings,
Your only alternative would be cable if you have it in your area, otherwise its Hobsons choice, i.e BTThat gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

Its no longer 3 months with BT, its 12 before you can switch.0 -
Apparently they have two options, the standard 12 month contract or you can pay a slightly higher fee and get a 3 month contract. Don't hold me to that but I work for a competing broadband/telecoms provider and have been told that by several customersIts no longer 3 months with BT, its 12 before you can switch.0 -
If you're on a Vodafone mobile contract, ask them, they may be able to do it slightly cheaper than BT (assuming this is the first time telephone service is connected to the premises)
Edit:- In fact, they are reselling a BT Wholesale product, since it seems BT still own all the telephone lines running to private premises in this country (except for Hull where Kingston Comms is the owner).0 -
hi,
try this website..hxxp://www.mynow.co.uk
they do broadband which DOESN'T require a landline (BT or otherwise) at all.
Cost for 512 mb is £10
1GB - £14.
The only drawback is it doesn't serve many areas.

I used to have Now, I wouldn't recommend it, signal reception is terribles and you always seem to get disconnected.0

Same here, but my problem was they reduced coverage. Company is going bust, in my opinion.0
